I began retouching fresh out of uni, with a job which involved colour balancing scans to match them to the original prints. The original sources would include anything from negatives, large format transparencies or simply prints and I was to bring the best out in them. This very quickly became more detailed and before long I was enhancing images on a bigger scale creating multi-image compositions, removing or adding elements or in other cases redrawing sections to control reflections or create a more visually compelling image. I have a great eye for colour, plus extensive experience of retouching in the alcohol, beauty, automotive and food and drink sectors.
Whether you find yourself needing a simple cutout and shadow or a complex image build, I’d love to help make your image the best it can be.
Scrub out all pattern on the 2020/21 seasons kit - shirt, shorts and socks where apply. Then using CAD data (which is often supplied as pngs or powerpoint docs), colour match to new colours being used and add the patterns, colour and chevrons on the new kit to match visual data. Also involves bending the patterns to fit on the shirt as if they were part of the fabric.

This was a multi comp image. Consisting of 2 floors, one backplate, several different sections of the car to gain the most control over the reflections and focus. Then it was colour balanced to match the colour swatch provided by Honda Motor Europe.
This was a multi comp image. Floor backplace, one main shot for the car, shot for the headlights, windscreen, badge and grille to achieve what we wanted. This would then be colour balanced to the lead colours being released that model year.
To make the Spicy Drums pack burn holes into the paper/background and break through. I was given the pack shot, the background texture and graphic. I then had to add burnt paper edging to the rips, and then flames across the paper. Then putting this all together as to make the box so spicy it burnt through.

To create an image that at first glance you see a shark fin in the water, nothing unusual there. Then you realise that it’s actually some plastic floating about. I had to use multiple images of sea for this and then 2 different skies to blend together and one stock asset of a plastic bottle.

A One Minute brief - I took on to highlight the struggles of mental health issues. 'Don’t bottle it up’ was about people not feeling they could open up when they are suffering. I was commissioned to retouch from drawn scamps different drinks bottles and editing them to take on the shape of a face. Then filling this with liquid to emulate certain alcohol.
